Contemporary
Contemporary will include all styles of contemporary floorwork and breathing technique or syllabi, demonstrating the melting pot of unconventional movement gathered from all dance styles – embracing the freedom of space, trying to explore the absolute limits of the human form. Ideally, it should show new forms and dynamics development, such as quick oppositional moves, contractions, body rolls, shifting alignments, systematic breathing, and standing or non-standing positions. eg: using the floor as a suspended space. It can be executed with or without music. Pointe shoes may be worn by those of an appropriate level of training.
