Renee Burke-Hughes was born and raised in Mildura. Growing up dancing and then teaching in Mildura, she quickly accomplished her Honours in Advanced Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz, National and Tap at an early age.
She went on to complete her VCE and then furthered her training dance teaching at Australian Dance Vision (ADV) in Sydney and updated again with Australian College of Dance.

Spent time in Geelong where she danced and taught with ex Royal Ballet Soloist Peter Dickinson working with examination levels and all abilities students at D for Dance.

Returning to Sunraysia, opening her own dance school (Sunraysia Dance Vision) in 2004 for a number of years along with managed the Mildura City Traders for five years producing 16 major events a year, often utilising her students "the Hotshots" for these festivals and street parades.
Moving to the Gold Coast in 2006 where she managed the Broadbeach precinct for a time and hosted many grand events such as Indy at Night, Popera on the Park and Blues on Broadbeach. Of an evening, she trained and taught at Paradise Dane School in Broadbeach.

In 2007, Renee then went on to spend just under ten years working and travelling overseas (Europe, Baltics, British Isles and America's) in the Cruise Industry (Princess Cruises) where she held the position as Two Stripe Officer | Entertainment Director and Onboard Sales Manager for many years. Event managing, dance teaching, performing and producing many events whilst onboard, she has worked alongside some of the best in the business. Often shows and entertainers were flown in from all over the world (such as Las Vegas, New York, London, Asia, Europe) to join these vessels for a cruise to perform, Renee's industry experience and contacts list is incredible.
Returning to Sunraysia in 2015, she commenced teaching at Trinity Lutheran College and Robinvale Ballet Guild.
Hotshots Performance Dance Team was established in 2020 just prior to COVID.
Renee zoomed her way through some dark days for her families and they came out resilient and stronger than ever.
Closing the doors to the Hotshots studio in Sunraysia in December 2024 and moving south to assist her son's health, the Hotshots brand is undertaking a "sea change" and more progressive direction within our business. Zoom training still remains in position for the Hotshots Competition Dance Team Sunraysia Students.
Miss Renee still works very closely with her Competition Team from Sunraysia and looks forward to working with professionalism and passion towards their bright futures.
2026 will see one of her students compete in Team Australia for the Dance World Cup for the second year in a row. 2025 Burgos, Spain and 2026 Dublin, Ireland.
